I want to RENAME the DRIVE LETTERS for:
Hard Drive#1 --- the C: drive (Stays as is)

Hard Drive#2 --- now named F: (I want it to be the D:
Drive)

CD RW Drive --- now named E: ( ok)

Zip Drive --- now named D: (I want it to be the F: Drive)

So, the present D and F drive needs to be switched.
I tried to simply re-name them... but, that does not work.

HOW - please?

Right click on My Computer, select Manage. On the following screen, select
Disk Management. The drives will appear on the right hand side of the
screen and you can reassign drive letters here.

Since a drive letter reassignment needs a reboot before it can be freed up,
I suggest:

Rename Zip to G. Reboot.

This now frees up D.

Rename Second hard drive to D. Reboot.

This now frees up F.

Rename Zip to F. Reboot.
