Dottie

I'm currently working on a project which involves release and renew of
the ip address, and the errors that the helpdesk might see.

The issue is that in my device manager I can see a bluetooth adapter
(driver is installed), however do not have the hardware installed on the
pc itself (toggle), but there is a wifi connection in the area (not sure
if this makes a difference, except that the mapping system works on wifi
as well as bluetooth).

Any other piece of hardware,if uninstalled from the pc disappears from
the device mgr, except the bluetooth adapter. I've scanned the pc just
to make sure there was not an integrated bluetooth adapter that I'm not
aware of, the mapping program found none.

I'm not wanting to lead the helpdesk down the wrong road, So here's the
question, if the device mgr only displays hardware that is physically on
the pc, why do I see this bluetooth adapter? Is it safe to assume that
the device mgr displays hardware as well as installed drivers? Oh and
when I right click on the bluetooth adapter it advised that the device
is working properly, so should it actually say the device driver is
working properly?

Thanks, Dottie

Figured it out, Bluetooth is a feature of my intergrated wireless card,
however not enabled by the mfg.
