I have window Vista on an HP computer
Device Manager does not display my printers.
Device Manger did display them until I installed a bluetooth program, when
thay disappeared. I uninstall the bluetooth program, but the printer still
are not displayed.
I have to update one of my printer drivers, but I can fine it in device manger
How do I get the printers to showup in device manager again?

James,

In Device Manager, printers are displayed under View > Show hidden devices,
if the printers are installed. The Device Manager standard view does not
display printers. Manage printers from Control Panel > Printers, as the
previous poster indicated.

Printer are installed and working, BUT, I went to view- Show hidden devices-
the printers still do not showup under- Hidden devices.

James,

In Device Manager, I don't know why printers don't display under View > Show
hidden devices. Do printers show up in Control Panel > Printers? If they do,
and they are working properly, then I see no reason to be concerned. Maybe
someone else has an explanation. I don't.

When I first I could not find the printer under- Hidden Devices, BUt I turned
them on and then checked again. The Printers Are Listed, under Hidden Devices.

I Thank Both of you, for your help, Thank You Freddy and Cal Bear 66.
I started using windows Vista about 3 months ago on a new computer. Vista a
little difference the XP. I like Vista better then XP, But vista has some
problems and some getting use to. I Thank You both again. Have a good day

You're welcome.

You should really do all your printer management with Control Panel > Printers.
I don't think there is much you can do in Device Manager.

Alternately you can run the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties and select
Customize, then scroll down to Printers and tick it. Now it will behave as
it did iin Windows XP with a Printers group on your Start Menu.
