Device Manager info.

I have a yellow question mark for two items under the title Other Devices.
One is PCI Simple Commuication Controler ant the othe is Universial Serial Bus
Controller.

I earlier had to install a PCI video card after having trouble with the AGP
slot and now I'm having suttering sound issues. I might need a better video
card.The question is, this causing an issue? I also see this being brought up
in the Problem Devices when I explore the System Information. Can I just remove
this from the Device Manager?

These occur when Windows cannot find the .inf files to install the
drivers.The PCI communications device is commonly the wav device for a
modem that although not needed for the modem to function can cause
this fault if not installed.It should be on the modem's drivers disk
or in an updated download pack from the modem makers site.
As for the USB.If you aren't using any then disable them in the BIOS.

where there is a mark against a device simply remove that and any duplicate
devices without a mark ie. you may have two video adapters listed with one
marked, remove both and reboot. Windows will install the appropriate files
for the device that it detects.
