Cas--
If you have Vista, and web access you can become very computer proficient
very fast. You have tons of help at your fingertips. There are great web
sites to help you with Vista, and getting one good book like David Pogue's
missing manual or any one you sit down with at a book store and looks
comfortable for you will go a long way.
First of all what device are you trying to get up and running? How are you
trying to install the driver for it?
I wonder if we both mean the same thing when you say your device driver
software installation stopped responding. To many of us that would mean
you're having trouble getting in a driver for some peripheral, like a
printer or a scanner, a mouse, or some other hdw. Is this what's going on?
If so what is the hdw whose driver you want to get installed so the device
works?
Report sent on a Windows OS means that the information was sent to a data
base at Redmond so that MSFT can assimilate it and apply the information to
avoid problems in the future.
I think if you give us an idea of what you're trying to get running when you
are confronted with this error, we can go after a solution for you.
If there are any words in any link or message I used that don't make
sense--ask and I'll do my best to explain them.
Thanks,
CH
