I am really not liking XP home because I am getting
sporatic reboots followed by the error that a device
driver is causing them, with no idea about which device
is causing the problem. I did notice that the latest
updates to come through tonight (broadband updates) is
causing my system to reboot during the installation.
Same error message upon reboot. So, okay, it sounds as
if my wireless adapter may be at fault...but it's a
microsoft adapter. Anyone else having any problems
remotely like this? The system is an HP Pavillion 523N
and has a gig of ram and runs beautifully aside from this
problem.

I too am getting similar messages. I am also experiencing
freeze ups at the login screen. somebody Help!

This exact same thing has happened to me 8 times in the
last three days. When it reboots, instead of continuing I
turn my computer off and turn it on again. After about 3
tries, it works. I did find in my "non plug-and-play"
drivers two drivers with error messages saying they
are "not present, damaged" or something or other. Check
yours out--my trouble ones were Parport and Serial.
Trouble is, I don't know if disabling, stopping or
uninstalling them will hurt my systm more. Plus, I don't
know how I would install them again if I uninstalled
them. Any ideas? I also can not ID what function they
serve.

Help, please!
