I'm still at a loss for solving this problem. I am
almost tempted to install a previous OS so that I can use
my computer. I did search the web and found that
everyone is giving a different answer/solution for this
problem and none of them work. Audio driver, video
cards, Bad memory, IRQ, etc. The one common thing is
that this occured after people updated windows???

Original Post:

I keep getting a device driver error. It seemed to start
happening after I downloaded the windows updates in
August. I thought I had the blaster worm because my
computer kept rebooting. My hard drive crashed and so I
bought a new hard drive thinking I had a virus. So when
I reinstalled windows XP I keep getting the same error.
I don't know what to do. Any help?

These are the error messages from the event logs.

Error code 00000024, parameter1 001902fa, parameter2

Error code 00000024: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM - indicates a problem occurred in ntfs.sys.
Error code 1000008e: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED; parameter1 0xC0000005: A memory access

Error code 0000001a: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT parameter1 00041284 : A PTE or the working set list is

So, you got something that causes memory corruption and then, filesystem corruption. Maybe, even a
virus.

Good luck.
