The subject line has been my life's misery for the past 3 days trying to get
my Lenovo T60 to recognize the Zune Music Player.
I have tried - reinstalling the software, uninstalling the USB Hubs, spent
hours on the phone being a tennis ball in a grand slam between Zune
Helpline, Microsoft Helpline and the Lenovo/ IBM helpline with each passing
the buck/ blame to the other.
The device and the cable seem to be OK - as they work fine on another Compaq
Presario V3000 series laptop.
The T60 has 500mA USB power as shown in the Device Manager and thats
identical to the ones on the Compaq. But whatever I do, nothing seems to get
rid of this problem with the Code 10. The device hardware driver
installation fails and the Zune sits with a yellow exclamation mark in the
Portable Devices tab of the Device Manager with "Device cannot be started
(Code 10)" error.
Same problem observed with a Canon S1 IS powershot camera - which also fails
to get recognized to download pictures via USB.
Any ideas??
