Developing a report

I am new to access, and I have Access 2002. I have developed a table and a
form for data entry. Now I need to develope a report that pulls from the
table, but uses only the records with in a certain date range. I am guessing
that I need to develope some type of query, and generate the report from that
query, but I can not figure out how to do that. Is there anywhere on the net
to get step by step instructions?

Hi Corey,

If you send me a private e-mail message, with a valid reply address, I will
send you a sample that should be quite useful. It even includes a Word
document with step-by-step instructions. The Word document was written by
Database Design expert Michael Hernandez.

If my answer has helped you, please answer yes to the question that reads
"Did this post answer the question?" at the bottom of the message thread.

Tom -- Where would the poster have to be accessing messages for there to be
such a question at the end of the thread, through some specific site, or the
Microsoft online UI, or with specific newsreader software? There's certainly
no such question in the newsreaders with which I am familiar.

Hi Larry,

When the OP posts the question using the Microsoft web portal, as Corey
Keller did, there is a small brown circle with a white question mark
contained within:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...cess&mid=4e335db7-ecce-41af-ac14-85368015a353

If one does not see this, then it means that the question was posted using a
newsreader of some type, instead of the web portal. Approximately 75% of the
questions are posted using the Microsoft web portal, according to statistics
gather by Gunny. I realize that my statement might seem confusing to people
who are not using the web portal, but I wanted to keep it short.

. . .the Microsoft web portal, . . .

Thanks for the info. It has been some time since I was behind a firewall
that forced me to use an online UI.
