Deus Ex - Invisible War??

Hi Group,

Just bought this and I have to say that it doesn't seem to run very
smoothly on my ATI 9800 Pro, resolution is set to 1024 but it's
certainly not a particularly smooth frame rate!! is there a problem
with this game and ATI cards??

Just completed the game, wasn't overly impressed, in the instruction book it
says that the quality slider goes to a maximum of 16 depending on your
system, now I'm running at over 3.5 gig, with a gig of corsair cas2 mem in
dual mode, and a 9800xt, most it would go to was 6 :o(

I have a 22" monitor so i usually play games at 1600 x 1200, got the 9800xt
3d settings on high quality, however, even with my system I don't think I'd
manage to get the quality that it shows in the <cough> 'game footage' shown
in the TV advert for the game!

Ahh well, now I've completed it and seen the diff endings it's back to
Unreal 2 XMP (best onliner ever?) until UT2004 is released.

UT2K4 is released:-)

FWI: DX2 isn't running to smooth on any platform - it seems they have
not only made an ass of the game they also have done badly with regards
to the technical stuff:-(

Just do a Goggle search on the game and you'll see hundreds of posts
complaining about this crap'ola game. It runs like crap on any system, so
don't feel bad. This is one game where it pays to read up about it before
you buy. JLC
