I am trying to download the microsoft patch, and I am not
sure if my computer is 32 bit or 64 bit. How do I find
that information?
Thanks

Hi!
Do you have a 32 or 64 bit in XP? Exe or VBS
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Line 258 - Right hand side.

Manual:

Go to Start/Run/CMD and type in: cd c:\ <enter>,
systeminfo. System Type
will probably read: X86

Or Start>Run>Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Sessio
n
Manager\Environment. In the right pane:
Processor_Architecture should
read: x86 for 32 bit.

I have done both, and it does read X86, but there is
nothing about 32bit or 64?? Should I be trying to
download the patch for that new worm?
Thanks!!
