Determine what Jet SP I have installed?

Not sure if this is the right newsgroup to ask this in, but I'm guessing
someone can tell me...

How can I determine what Jet SP has been installed on the computer I'm
working on. I'm working as a consultant, and thus have no real system rights
nor any insight regarding the policies and practices here. I'm working on a
A2K database, that is to replace an existing A97 database...

What threw me was the eventual migration will be using A2003, and I've read
up on some issues (actually ran into a couple the one time I was able to
remotely connect to a test machine-about 1200 miles away from the office I'm
working in!), and would like to know where I stand on the current system, and
be better prepared to deal with some of the "SP8" issues when I get the
opportunity to test this app in A2003 again...

A good place to start would be knowing where I stand on this machine, so I
can check the same thing on the remote test box...

Appreciate the help!

Thanks Allen!

From what I've read, if the Jet dll version is 4.0.6218.0 then it's NOT
service pack 8. Am I correct?

Appreciate the help!

You are correct, the version number you provided is not SP8, it is SP6.

Jet 4.0 SP8 will have a version number of 4.0.8015.0
See this link for download files:

However, a Windows security update (can't remember which one) updated Jet past that number. If you
have installed Service pack 8 AND all the Windows Updates your Jet version should be 4.0.8618.0
