Hi Kirby,
HP has to provide you with either a XP CD or a Restore CD.
You might be able to workaround that problem for now by
searching your hard drive for the files that Joshua Smith told
you about. Don't use the extensions for the search since we
want to find the compressed versions of the files. If you find
those files, use MSCONFIG to expand the compressed file
into the directory where Joshua said those files should exist.
If you're prompted to overwrite an existing file, do so.
Good luck Kirby, and get yourself a proper XP CD to avoid
these types of problems in the futur. It's worth it.

| Thanks again, however, here's another twist...
|
| My computer (HP 750n) came with the XP OS on a
| partitioned portion of my hard drive (i.e. I don't have
| the original XP OS disk).
|
| Now what? Not sure how I can access this partition.
|
| I appreciate your patience with my follow up questions.
|
| Thanks,
| Kirby
