VERY URGENT HELP NEEDED
I have been having major problems with my e-mail since using Outlook 2002 on Win XPPro.

I was advised to use Outlooks Detect and Repair capabilty and revert back to default settings. Since doing so my outlook mail store and my address book has been removed from it's original location and cannot be accessed. How can I get it back as there was no warning in any of your help files about this issue

I've never seen it remove any mail information. Nonetheless, you should
be able to do a Start | Find for *.PST files and locate them. Note: You'll
need to ENABLE search in hidden files or folders, because on WinXP they're
in a hidden folder.

Ben

Thanks. In between waiting for a reply I managed to stumble on the correct solution by discovering the hidden folder by accident.

The key issue thsi rasies as a suggection for MS is that the message dialogue needs to WARN users of this issue when going back to default settings and should also advise that they should backup BEFORE using the detect and repair capability in any mode.

Can you use your contacts at MS to fix the dialogue when they next patch the systems? It would be very helpful.

I have now managed to get back 100% of the data which makes life a hell of a lot simpler! Cheers Rob Adelaide Sth Australia http:/www.pcprofile.co
