I posted this in xp.general but didn't receive a response. Maybe there is no
viable response? Anyone?
Is there any way to force Outlook Express, or any other program that
utilizes what I'll call a sub-menu explorer, to default to "Details View"
when launching the sub-menu. In other words, when composing an email message
in OE, then clicking on Insert/File ttachment, the Insert Attachment window
always defaults to "List" view. This requires a great deal of horizontal
scrolling. Is there any way to change this to permanently default to
"Details View?" I tried to force it by holding shift after selecting Details
View and closing the window, but this didn't make any difference.
Even though general folder view options are set to "Details View" it doesn't
apply to the window launched when inserting an attachment.
Or maybe this question should be posted to the OE board?
TIA
