Hello,
I have a detail field which is displaying the Primary Key instead of the
textual name of the field on my Access report. The field is coming from a
table which gets its dropdown box from yet another table, which consists of
the Primary Key and the name of the field. But when I create a report with
this field, only the Primary Key is showing up. Any suggestions?

Forgive me, I'm sort of a beginner, and I'm still having problems...
When I went to update the Record Source, I clicked on the Build button, but
after adding the "yet another table," and clicking on Run, I came up with
nothing.

Did you go to the design view of the report's record source? This is a query
design view where you would add the table, join the like fields, and add the
"name" field to the query grid.

You then close the query and update the report's record source.

Yep, I was in Design view of record source, I added the field of the table
that I wanted to show up in the report, closed it, and then closed the Record
Source dialog box (to update the record source). When I went to the print
preview of my report, there was no data. When you say "join the like fields,"
can you elaborate? Maybe that's where I'm going wrong.

What is the SQL View of your report's record source?

What field value to you want to see and what table is it stored in?
