When ever I try to delete an email in my inbox or anywhere in Outlook, I get an error message that says

"Errors have been detected in the file C:\documents and Settings\..........\Outlook.pst. Quit all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool."

I used the Inbox Repair Tool and it did not detect any problems. I now can't delete any file in Outlook so emails just keep piling on.

Need help desperately!

Thank you for reading this

How big is the .PST file?

Well not TOO big ;-). Also make sure that there is still enough diskspace
available on the disk where you store this pst-file.
Can you empty your Deleted Items folder succesfully? If so try deleting the
message again. You might want to run the inbox repair tol in between.

A more brute-force method would be to open a new PST file in Outlook, copy
(not move) all the messages, calendar entries, contacts, etc. from the old
to the new PST file, close the old PST file, stop Outlook, and delete (or
rename) the old. Restart Outlook and you'll have a fresh PST file that
probably won't exhibit the problem.
