I've just spent 3 weeks under duress capturing all the images, aka scans of
slides and photos, added audio clips and completed to take to my husbands
memorial in 6 days. I can't save it! Anywhere. Won't save to CD, Files (as
a movie) does save as a project, but I need to get it portable to take with
me. It's 30 minutes long and represents a lot of late nights. Really could
use help. This program has been a nightmare, but when I loaded the new Roxio
Media Creator 8, my computer crashed twice, so I deleted it.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Many things could be going on here.
It is hard to diagnose without more information such as what exactly the
project is comprised of.
How many clips (Audio/Video/Image)?
What types of clips they are (Extensions)?
Your computers specs?
What exactly happens when you try to save it?
For starters have a look at papajohn's website "Can't Save a Movie" and/or
"Crashes and Hangs"
www.papajohn.org
Also have a look at the trouble shooting section of my website.

Sounds like you are trying to burn your
..mswmm project file on the disk...this will
not work because it does not include the
source files.

Are you able to save as a movie file? As
per the following steps?

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

And since you are only using images and
not video...you might give PhotoStory 3
a try.
