i have recently visited a view sites and when i close internet explorer down
my desktop has a warning message asking you to download spyware programmes.
i have run my virus checker but this finds nothing. when you right click on
desktop it comes up with the normal list however if you click on properties
it will come up with the tpey of file etc. when i go to the file invovlved
and delete same it still wont go away. the file is at windows/web. can anyone
help me

Get an anti-spyware application from a reputable vendor and scan/delete the
entries found in safe mode. AdAware and Spybot S&D are both good. Remember
to update them before doing your scan though.

Sorry forgot to mention i have spy doctor and i have deleted all files it has
run. but still no joy with removal.

Have you tried to run the scan in safe mode? Without more information
there's not much more to add though you could also try a couple of freeware
scanners with updated definitions. Your troubles ooze of spyware/malware
infestation and are likely the root of this problem.
