Hi tizok,

Not sure I completely understand, but try this:
Right click on your Desktop and click Properties
Click the Desktop tab
Click the Customize Desktop button
Click the Web tab
Do you have anything listed other than My Current Home Page (like the
path to My Documents)?
If so, delete it. Click OK
Click the Apply button in the Display Properties dialog box.
Did it disappear?

If not, can you post a screen capture online (to a website)?

Visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP Fixes section.
Follow the link for Remove Common Tasks from Desktop. This small VB Script
utility will modify the System Registry to remove Common Tasks from your
Desktop.

My utility implements that command, as well as checking the relavent
Registry entries.
