The desktop wallpaper changes on completion of loading to
a bitmap named 'Mgxwp'. This bmp can't be found anywhere
on the system & if you change the wallpaper to another
available bmp the 'Mgxwp' will disappear from the
available list until the next time you boot the system,
when the procedure is repeated.

Hi John,

I am running Windows XP PRO and I normally have a green Desktop screen
with just the XP Screen saver.

My screen also went to black (instead of Green) and every time I change in
back to Green it goes back to the Black screen within 15 minutes. Like
you, the black screen is shown as Mgxwp.

Could you please tell me if you find out how to get rid of the Black
screen?

Best regards,

IanB
