Desktop wallpaper disappearance

My wallpaper just disappeared! When I set new images as
wallpaper, the desktop properties say it is there, but
all I get is a blue screen with my desktop icons.

When I boot up or shut down, I get a glimpse of my
wallpaper- but it all disappears!

Help!

i have the same problem! please let me know if you get
any response on this. thanks! i hope we get the problem
