Hello,

I have a windows xp operating system. Some days before i purchased
headphone of quantam. My problem is this when i am not able to hear the
music or chat through my headphone but my desktop speakers are working
fine. I have also tested this headphone on several machines but it
works fine on every other machine. I also tried other headphone on my
machine but bad luck.

So anybody can help me to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance.

If these headphones plug into the system in the same 8mm port your speakers
do - the problem is a mechanical one - not a software one.

Windows XP has no idea - with the 8mm jack - what you are plugging in.
Heck - you can plug in a microphone into that jack and Windows XP itself
will no no difference - nor wuld the sound card.

What I am trying to say is that the problem may be an issue with the port
itself - but unless these are USB headphones, Windows XP cannot
differentiate between headphones/speakers/microphones or a snipped off piece
of wire you plugged nto the 8mm port.

Hello Shenan Stanley,

Thanks for response.

You are saying that problem with the port, but i want to know if the
problem in a port why desktop speaker is working perfectly? Both
headphone and desktop speaker are connected with the same port, but one
is working and another is not.

Anybody can have solution of my problem. What should i do?

Thanks
