Christoph

I have a desktop shortcut to open up IE to go to a particular page. It
looks like this:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
http://www.ourcompanysintranet.com/page1.htm

The reason I have it like this is because I don't want this to be my home
page. I just want a quick and convenient way to quickly get to our
company's intranet. It works. It's useful. There is peace in the world
(or, at least, peace on my desktop :p). With the introduction of tabs in
IE7, I'm wondering if there is a way I can set up the shortcut so that it
opens up multiple tabs for multiple pages? I've tried

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
http://www.ourcompanysintranet.com/page1.htm
http://www.ourcompanysintranet.com/page2.htm

(no line break, obviously). I've also tried

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
http://www.ourcompanysintranet.com/page1.htm |
http://www.ourcompanysintranet.com/page2.htm

(again, no line break; that's a pipe character there in the middle). I've
also tried different variations but nothing seems to be working. Is this
even possible? Can you set up a desktop shortcut to open IE with multiple
tabs? W/o changing the homepage?

thnx,
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

There is an Open in tag Group context menu for favorites displayed in the
Favorites side bar in IE7. However there is no such option for desktop
shortcuts. I think you will have to wait until someone comes up with an
Add-on context menu for this functionality.

Regards.
