Basically what we are looking for is a solution to allow an instructor to be
able to share his desktop with remote users for training purposes.

Thanks for reading.

Remote Assistance allows that, as does VNC, ie. allow you to access the student desktop...

Oops. I forgot to say I need it to service multiple users simultaneously,
VNC is only one client at a time.

NetMeeting Program Sharing and Whiteboard might work as an alternative...

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/netmeeting/features/default.asp

NetMeeting is built-in to XP. To start the NetMeeting wizard go to "Start | Run" and type conf at
the command line.

Post additional questions concerning NetMeeting to the microsoft.public.internet.netmeeting news
group.

Beyond that their might be some commercial products available to do what you want, but being a home
user I can't point you to any. Perhaps someone else can...

Good luck...
