hi

no big deal this. but...

if i take a desktop screenshot (print screen) with vista aero set as my
themme then the shot is distorted and discoloured even though the desktop
looked fine.

i thought it might just be pasting to ms paint that caused the distortion
but the same happens when i paste to word 2007 beta or to paint.net or to
p/s cs.

here's what i mean

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/3426/yukk4oq.jpg

taking a screenie under any other theme works ok.

a64 3000+ on an asus k8v_mx with 1 gig of pc3200

geforce 6200 agp/128mb; 88.61 x86 forceware -- 80 gig sata maxtor/xp home --
80 gig sata seagate/vista cpp beta.

any suggestions as to what might be wrong or how to remedy this.

thought it might be the clipboard but i can't find a clipboard viewer in
vista.......... i'll keep looking though.

Known issue with many video drivers. The only way to work-around it is
to turn off glass.

MS says the current behaviour is "by design" believe it or not.
