I accidentally force shutdown my computer that runs Windows Vista Business.
When I log back on my account I can see the text quality suddenly change to a
grainy resolution, also my desktop background is now a solid black
background, and most of the vista effects do not occur anymore, like when you
minimize a window how it warps away. I don't know how to fix it, but it
happened before and I had to make a new account to make it look nice again,
and I do not want to make a new account every time I force shutdown my
computer. The display looks awful but my resolution is still 1440x900. I am
trying to explain this better. Like all the text on programs and stuff looks
fine, but I am typing now it looks grainy, and in my url bar it looks grainy,
please help.

Hi,

Don't force a shutdown. If something is hanging causing you to have to do
this, spend some time isolating the problem and address it.

In the meantime, have you tried System Restore? That is what it is there
for. Also, you might want to try updating or reinstalling the display
adapter.
