PR.2000

I've got about 50 picto's on my Windows XP desktop. They're positioned in a
way so I can find them easily. Once in a time Windows is messing up the whole
desktop and re-arranges all the picto's, so I can't find them quickly anymore.

Some questions:
A) Why does Windows XP changes my desktop without my permission?
B) How can I prevent this?
C) Is it possible to save my desktop-layout in a file?

Thanks in Advance.

Download and install Icon Restore from here:

http://www.download.com/Icon-Restore/3000-2072_4-10163499.html

This allows you to instantly put the icon layout to whatever it was when you
saved it. I use it myself and it works a treat. I have found though that
occassionally, if the icons are really misplaced that it sometimes take 2 or
3 attempts to get them back where they should be.
