Can I turn off the option for locking the desktop everytime I leave the
computer for a few minutes? I don't want to re-enter my password everytime I
come back to use my system?

Right-click the desktop and select "Personalize."
Click "Screen saver"
Uncheck the box for "On resume, display logon screen"
Click OK

Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Personalize | Screen
Saver and uncheck the option to display the logon screen.

Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email.

I am running without any password. The Logon screen opens with my name, and under it, it says the computer is locked. A simple click opens the system. I want to pass the Logon screen and go directly to the desktop. I have already unchecked the option to display the Logon screen, but there's no joy. The Logon screen insists on showing up. How do I stop it?

Wouldn't you know, I just found the answer: Go to Power Plan advanced
options. The choice is there.
