I expect that the reason you didn't get an answer is because you aren't
providing enough information. I read your first post and passed over it
since it seemed like more work to elicit the necessary details than I
wanted to do at the time.

Some missing information:

1. What happens when you try? If there are error messages, please quote them
exactly. You may need to translate.

2. What operating system/distro is the Samba server running? What operating
system is the workstation from which you are trying to copy the file
running?

3. Did this ever work? If yes, what changed between that time and now?

4. To what folder are you trying to copy the file? What are its permissions?
Linux/Unix shouldn't care whether you are copying a desktop.ini file or
anything else since a desktop.ini file is just another text file to *nix.

You may also wish to post to a French-speaking newsgroup because it is
difficult enough to give technical support in writing when both parties
speak the same language. It is many magnitudes of difficulty more when they
do not. Here is a list of all the MS public newsgroups so you can find the
ones in your language:

Hey guy, thanks for your awnser.

I'll try to explain my problem with more details

1 - I get no error messages. But the folder personalizations don't work,
like folder's icons.

2 - My samba is in Debian Etch, the version is 3.0.24. All workstations is
XP Pro.

3 - Always don't work ... this is the problem =/

4 - Any folder i've tryied i have this problem. I think isn't permission
problem. I got 777 if needed.

Thanks for your attenion, and excuse my poor english ;)

Cheers !!
