Desktop icons

Hi

Behind the desktop icons, I am getting the color that is set for desktop in the Appeareance settings of the deskotp
this is making the desktop look ugly
Appearence menu comes like this
Right click on Win desktop--->Appearence-->Advanced-->select Desktop

Please help.

If I'm reading the post correctly, try C. P.>Display>Appearance tab>Effects
button (lower-right corner). In next dialog box, unmark "Show shadows under
menus." This creates a uniformly colored Desktop.

Please help.

Try System properties> Advanced> Performance> Settings. Place a check in
the box next to "show shadows under icon labels on desktop." Also, right
click the desktop and click Arrange Icons By. If "Lock web items on
desktop" is checked, click on it to remove the check.
