The icons on my desktop seem to be stuck in the upper
left-hand corner of my display. Adding new icons places
them under the same list. I can't move them to another
area of the screen. Any advice?

Right click the desktop. Select Arrange Icons By... and uncheck
AutorArrange.

You may need to uncheck the 'Lock Web Items on the desktop" selection
too. It can be found on the same menu as described above for
AutoArrange.

Right click on the desktop, choose Arrange Icons By>
uncheck auto arrange and align to grid.

Hi Jerome
Have you tried right clicking your mouse on the desktop
screen, selecting 'Arrange icons by' and unchecking
Align to grid'? You can change the way the icons display
by checking or unchecking the choices listed
under 'Arrange icons by'.
