How do I adjust the icon display on my desktop? Most of the icon
labels are truncated. For example, COMPUTER shows as COMP...;
WINDOWS EXPLORER shows as WIND... EXPL.... (notice the 4-character
similarity).

Thanks

Hi,

Click start, type 'control desktop' and hit <enter>. Click on Windows Color
and Appearance, then on the line for advanced options. Click now on the
advanced tab, then select icon from the dropdown menu. Change the size in
the font line (I think the default is 9). Apply/ok your way out.

Actually, the icon 'size' there was 32 and the font size was 9. I
changed them to 50 and 12. That enlarges the icon, but the labels are
still clipped. Another example is PROGRA.. for PROGRAMS. Seems
ridiculous.
