Desktop icons

i am running Win 2000 server and about 60 computers on
windows xp. i need the same 5 desktop shortcuts on all 60
computers and was wondering if there was anyway to do
this on the server, a apposed to installing them all on
each computer manually.

any help greatly appriciated.

A fairly simple way to do it would be to create a logon script that copies shortcuts to the executables on the server to each client desktop.

You could create a custom administrative template. My organization currently uses one to turn on the My Computer and My Documents icons on on the desktop in WinXP. Provides great flexability and simple to manage.
