Desktop Icons/Theme

This is starting to drive me absolutely insane!!!! Here
is the problem. I have changed the icons for My
Computer, Recycle Bin and Network Neighborhood. I have
also changed their names. Almost every time that I
restart my computer it goes back to the default icons and
changes the names back to their default. This also
happens sometimes when I start certain Windows programs.
I have not had anything yet that has helped fix this
problem.

The only other thing that I can do is totally wipe XP and
start all over, again! I would prefer not to do that.
