Desktop icons-text transparency ?

On desktop icons the text I know in 98 there was a way to make the
background of the text transparent is there a way on XP? Thanks..

Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance/Settings/ Visual
Effects/"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop". If this still
doesn't do the trick, right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and
make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked

Thanks the right click arrange icons Lock was checked unchecked it and it
solved the problem.. Thanks much I knew there was a way but XP is still
fairly new to me.. Thanks again much....
