Hank

I have changed my desktop icons, ie.. My Computer,
Recycle Bin, and Network Places. The icons keep changing
back to their default and the only way for me to change
them back is to keep a desktop theme saved. It seems
like when I go into anything to do with windows, like
Control Panel or a program like that they change back.
There are times it won't even save them when I reboot my
computer.

This is the first time this has happened to me and it has
been this way since I completely redone my computer a
little while ago.

Hi Hank,

This seems to be a very problematic issue for many XP users. Most attribute
the change to a recent update. In the meantime, see if this edit helps. If
not, good luck and keep us posted.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

You can use WinPersonalizer v5.1,it is an integrated tool to customize
your Windows look. This program can change animated
wallpapers,icons,cursors,IE skins,folders,visual styles,OEM
information, transparency of Taskbar,Start button text and put your
name in system tray.
Why waste money and hard disk space downloading third party
applications everytime you want something changed in Windows?
