desktop icons have background of white square

Hello --

What have I done this time?

All desktop icons are framed by a white square.

Does anyone know how to remove the square?

I tried Repair in TweakUI - did not work,

and searched in http://www.jsiinc.com/ and found nothing.

after download because I don't know this website. Actually, you should scan
all downloads for infection and critters. Or you can get Desktop Architect
which will get rid of them for you but use version 2.0 not 2.11 as it has a
preview flaw in some W2K machines.
