Oh..OK. Sorry I did not understand. I looked around on my system and
could not find that tool. I have only had my Vista Ultimate installed
less that 24 hours so I am still learning the system. I tried RC1 for
a few weeks, I liked it and decided to do the upgrade plunge. There
are a few things I like and a few I don't. Desktop Cleanup on XP was
never one of my favorites. Sorry you can't find it. If I discover it
in the next few days I'll report back.

'Haven't found it either and Googling "Vista desktop cleanup" hasn't got me
an answer neither.

Not sure by what clean up unwanted icons means?

The Windows icons can be added/removed by right clicking the desktop,
choose personalize, and at the top of the left hand pane under Tasks,
click Change desktop icons. You can add/remove icons from here.

Any other icons would be added by yourself or a program and you just delete
them.

The original poster is referring to the "Desktop Cleanup' application
that would pop up in Windows XP from time to time at Start Up. I
comes up regularly on my lap top computer I use for travel when it
sits idle for a few weeks.

If it what I am thinking..you click on 'start' [ the BIG blue circle on the
far left bottom corner, go to 'all programs', then click on 'accesories',
then 'look down till u see 'system tools' and I found my [disk cleanup,
defrag, ect.] there..I hope this helps?
