Desktop Icons and Wallpaper Conflict

I have my desktop icons hidden. When I right click the desktop and choose
"show desktop icons" my wallpaper disappears. I can see the icons but not
the wallpaper. When I hide them the wallpaper reappears. Thanks for the
help.

Your wallpaper may be a part of a web page chosen for your desktop.
Rightclick desktop, Properties, Desktop tab, "Customize desktop" button, Web
tab, see checkboxes

Thanks. The "lock desktop items" was not checked. Doing so restored my wall
paper.
