I am new to Windows XP. In Windows 98 I was able to place an icon for the desktop on the taskbar at the bottom of my screen. Clicking on this icon would minimize all open windows and take me to my desktop

Is this functionality available with XP? If so, how? Please e-mail me your reply as I don't check this discussion group

Thanks
KM

It's on the quick launch bar:

Bringing Back the Quick Launch Toolbar

1. Right-click an unused part of your Taskbar. Even the clock will do.
2. When the menu appears, point at the word Toolbars.
3. Choose Quick Launch from the slide-out menu.

The Quick Launch Toolbar reappears in its rightful place next to the Start menu,
where it remains.
