I have WindowsXP in my system. Just two days ago, colors
of the desktop icons on the system turned greyish. I do
not know what I did. They don't show the original
colors. I shall be obliged and grateful if you would
please tell me what to do to get the icon colors back to
normal. Thanks for your time, attention and prompt

You may be talkin gabout the appearence settings. Right
click on an empty area of your desk top and notice the
appearence tab. The color scheme can be changed.
