Desktop icon text box

I have a colored square behind the text under my desktop
icons. I just want to see the text...not a black or blue
or whatever color box behind the text. How to rid myself
of this? I have been everywhere I can think of!
 
Thanks for trying, and you would think the two suggestions
they made would work....but they don't!
Help!
