desktop icon size

Why are the icons on the desktop on XP so small? How can
I adjust the SIZE of them?

Previous versions of Windows installed using a smaller desktop as the
default than Windows XP uses. A larger desktop = smaller icons. To get
larger icons again, you could do any of the following:

--change your desktop settings using Display> Settings to a smaller
desktop. Example: if currently at 1024x768, change to 800x600.

--use Display> Setting> Advanced> General and change the DPI from Normal to
Large. This will increase font size and icon size throughout all of Windows.

--use Display> Appearance> Advanced> Items> Icons increase the size of the
icons.
