I'm trying to figure out a way to change the size of the icons on my
desktop--but not in the rest of my computer.

Currently I'm using Display Properties > Apperiance > Advanced > Icon

But this changes it for the entire computer...not just the desktop. Any way
around this?

Thanks

Would you please be a little more specific?

P.S. I am runing XP pro, if that makes a differenace. Selecting the "use
large icons" box changes all the icons...not just the desktop ones.

Icons - Change Size

This setting will let you resize them to suit your desktop preference. Go
to: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
Value Name: Shell Icon Size
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: Size in Pixels (Default = 32)

Create a new value named 'Shell Icon Size' and set the value, or modify the
existing value, to equal the size of your icons in pixels. Smaller values =
smaller icons!

I tryed this and it resizes all the icons, same as when you do it through
Desktop properties/appearance/advances. Got me curious now

That changed the size of all my icons. I am looking for a way to *only*
change the size of the icons on my desktop--to on my entire computer. I am
using XP Pro, if that makes any difference. Thanks for your help, but do you
have any other suggestions?

You can do it using a program. The downside is that you have to have the
program running all the time (if you close it stops working). Kinda a waste
of system resources for such a simple thing. But if i don't find another way
I might use it.
