I have created a desktop icon to click on, which in turn opens IE directly to
the weather network. The only problem, is that it opens in a small(er) window
than when I click on the IE icon on the desktop. To make the weather window the
"normal" size, I must click on the middle thingy between - & x in the top right
corner each time because it won't remember the setting.

What does it take to make this open "normally" each time? Thanks

Look at the properties of the icon.
The Run menu will probably need to be changed to maximum.

To resolve this issue simply maximize the browser as you
mention below and click exit off the file menu. This will
retain the size setting the next time you open.

Hope this helps, Sal

Nope, it won't do that Sal. It always opens with a 9.5"x6.5" window. And
Henri, the run menu IS set to "maximum". By that, I assume you mean to click
on Start\Programs\Internet Explorer & Rt. click on Properties\Shortcut
Tab\Run:Maximized.

Let me tell you how I put The Weather Network icon on the desktop. Maybe I
didn't do it properly. I clicked on the IE icon on the desktop and it opened
(maximized) to my home page. I went to The Weather Network and configured it
for my city. I then clicked on File\Send\Shortcut to Desktop. That's it. Two
icons, basically both to open IE. One to my home page, and the other to The
Weather Network.

I click on IE and it opens "maximized". I click on Weather and it opens "Normal
Window". Now then, if I DON'T maximize the Weather window and then close it,
clicking on the IE icon will open in "Normal Window". I then maximize it and it
will remember the setting, but doing the same with Weather will not.

I hope I haven't really confused the issue and don't want to belabour this to
death. I just thought that it was an interesting situation that might be easily
rectified. I guess not, eh?
