Desktop Icon Changing

I created a shortcut on my desktop to our Microsoft CRM -- a Web URL. The
icon is displayed as the generic, unknown icon. I can change the icon to
something else, but as soon as I run the URL (open CRM), the icon changes
back to generic.

Any way to make the change permanent?

I stumbled on a solution.

I went to Users, Username, Desktop. The shortcut I had created on the
desktop wasn't there. So, I created the shortcut within the above folder,
changed the icon, and it stayed the same.

Ah, Vista!
