We have folder redirection set for the application data
and desktop. The folder redirection goes to a directory
on our NAS. If we delete an item on the desktop it
deletes it from the NAS, but it does not delete or sync
with the cached profile on the PC. The next time we log
in since the cached profile has the item in it and the
directory on the server doesn't it places the item on the
desktop and then it is also placed back in the directory
on the NAS. We do not want to apply the policy in ads to
delete local cache when they log off so that thing load
much quicker. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Hello, sorry but I don't understand the problem. Folder Redirection should
be in real and not cache (only if you have enabled offline files to the
share and the particular server are offline)

Can you explain more what happens?

thanks

With the Policy in Active directory to have folder
reirection to a server. You delete a item on the desktop
it deletes the item off of the location on the server,
but the next time you log on to the PC the item you
deleted comes back. If you look on the PC's local cached
profile it is in it and if you delete it off the desktop
and the local cached profile and log into the computer
everything works fine, but you shouldn't have to do this
and we don't want to set the policy to delete local cache
profile either.
