desktop folder redirection just won't work, but my docs does

In my User GPO I have redirected all users to point to a common network
share for the Desktop folder. But it's not happening. All users have
full rights to this share. Alternatively, the setting for my roaming
profile path (on the same server/share in a different directory) - works
great. ???? I am vexed.

take a look at the second tab page
"grant exclusive rights" should be unchecked
