Is 24bit color the highest color resolution available? I have an HTPC connected to my TV, but when importing DV from my camcorder it is difficult to work with using the TV as my display. Therefore I would like to us the application remotely, but it requires 32bit color. When I connect to the HTPC with XP Remote Desktop, the maximum resolution is 24bit. Is there any way I can get around this?

No. Until XP came out the highest you could get using RDP was 256 colors, so 24Bit is a big improvement over what was available a couple of years ago
